Secondary School Preparation

Attend a Summer College Preview

If you are currently a student in Grade 11 (Junior) or Grade 10 (Sophomore), showed strong academic potential and aspire to attend an elite university such as Carnegie Mellon, the Summer College Preview Program (SCPP) is a wonderful first step toward achieving your goals.

What is Summer College Preview?

SCPP is a rare opportunity for students from Qatar and the surrounding region to visit our campus and put their skills and abilities to the test within a community of other bright young scholars. Over a three-week period, you’ll work hard, but you’ll also have fun and experience the excitement of living on campus and challenging yourself to meet the high standards of Carnegie Mellon University.

The Ultimate Preparation for University

The difference between secondary school and college expectations will become clear when you attend SCPP. You’ll find the courses more fast-paced. You’ll be exposed to college-level math and writing. You’ll prepare to take the SAT. And you’ll enjoy a unique opportunity to participate in an exciting “hands-on” project in your chosen area of interest: Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems.

Are You Ready to Show Us Your Abilities?

This is a program for a very special group of young men and women. We urge you to apply for SCPP and if accepted, make the most of it. If you’re like the majority of students who participate, you’ll return to high school in the fall, energized and confident in your ability to work hard to be accepted at the university of your choice.

The 2010 Summer College Preview Program will take place in summer 2010. Stay tuned for further announcements and updates!
